Setting Up Your Scene:
Open 3ds Max and load your 3D model or scene.
Make sure you have the Corona Renderer plugin installed and activated. Adding an HDRI Environment:
Go to the Rendering menu.
Choose Environment.
Click on the Map button next to the Environment Map slot.
Select your desired HDRI image. You can find free HDRI maps online or use your own.
Adjust the Intensity and Rotation parameters as needed. Tweaking HDRI Settings:
In the Environment and Effects dialog, under the Environment tab, you’ll find the HDRI settings.
Adjust the Multiplier to control the overall brightness of the HDRI.
Use the Gamma setting to fine-tune the contrast. Environment Overrides (Optional):
If you want to override specific materials or objects with the HDRI lighting, follow these steps:
Create a Corona Override Material.
Assign your HDRI map to the Environment slot of the override material.
Apply this override material to the objects you want to be affected by the HDRI.
Render Settings:
Go to the Render Setup dialog (F10).
Under the Common tab, choose the Corona Renderer as your renderer.
Adjust other settings like resolution, output format, and antialiasing.
Click Render to see the magic happen! Additional Tips:
Experiment with different HDRI maps to achieve the desired mood and lighting.
Consider using HDR Light Studio to create custom HDRI maps.
Remember that HDRI maps affect reflections, so adjust your materials accordingly.
Happy render !
